Thank you for your interest in Freshman Leadership Academy! These two programs are special sections of the SFA 101 seminar class, intended to develop your leadership skills and engage you in meaningful dialogue about diversity.

When you fill out the application below, you will have the opportunity to select a preference for either "Servant Leadership Programs" or "Leaders for a Better World." FLA is offered 2-2:50 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. FLA sections are official SFA classes, so you must be available to attend all scheduled class sessions for the course you apply for and complete all assigned work. In addition, there will be activities outside the normal classroom hours that you will be required to participate in. A schedule will be provided at the beginning of the semester.

The priority deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 30. Applications will be considered after this date as space is available. We will notify students of their status as soon as possible to facilitate registration for the course. Please do not register for a different SFA 101 course before hearing back from us – this causes significant confusion for the SFA 101 office and could result in a delay of your registration for this class.

For any questions, please contact Jamie Bouldin, assistant director for leadership and service, at jfbouldin@sfasu.edu or (936) 468-1088 or Amanda Flores at floresa6@sfasu.edu or (936) 468-1200.
